Dare to Win

DARE TO WIN

If you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing.  You will even do greater things.”

-John 14-12

The only reason a sheep tender named David dared to face Goliath the Philistine was he trusted God.  He knew with God, he could not fail. When the giant laughed at David and told him he would feed his intestines to the birds, David laughed right back because he knew with God, all things are possible to those that are faithful. David even went as far as to take off his armor, throw down his sword, and take on the fiercest of all enemies with a few rocks. Many consider it to be the greatest under-dog victory in history. However, it was not. David had God on his side making him the overwhelming favorite to WIN.

BE DARING. It is easy to sit back and talk about all of the reasons you are un-healthy, un-happy, or un-successful. The daring are willing to make whatever moves are necessary to overcome their obstacles. They are willing to make these moves no matter what the risk.

BE A DREAMER.  Whatever you  feel is possible is. Whatever you think is impossible is.  Never, ever shoot anywhere else but high. NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SITUATION IS SOMEONE ELSE HAS BEEN IN EXACTLY THE SAME SPOT, OR WORSE, AND SUCCEEDED, SO YOU CAN TOO! Someone has been sicker than you and gotten well. Someone has been poorer than you and gotten rich. Someone has been more un-happy than you, even to the point of suicide, and found peace and joy!

BE COURAGEOUS.  Success comes with a heavy price tag. It costs time, it costs money, it costs relationships. However, if it serves God and it serves you then it is worth it. Albert Einstein said, “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.” Whatever you do it will take courage. Whatever path you take, if it is a winning path, there will always be someone to tell you, you are wrong.  JUST DO IT ANYWAY!

BE DIFFERENT.  Always remember, the popular opinion is usually the wrong opinion.  When a few million people believe in a bad idea, it’s still a bad idea.  3 out of 4 people in America are sick, tired, and depressed (not an exact number).  Stay on the common path and you will end up exactly where the average are going.

BE UNREASONABLE.  Jesus, Martin Luther King, Lincoln, Columbus, Ford (The car maker, not the president(, The Wright Brothers, Jobs, Michelangelo, Einstein, Linus Pauling, and B.J. Palmer were all unreasonable.  All progress is based on the UNREASONABLE man or woman.  You might get shot or crucified, but you also might get what you want, what God established, and what the world needs.

BE A FAILURE.  You will get knocked down but get up again and again and again and again. A champion gets up simply one more time then he or she has been knocked down. Never let them keep you down.

DARE TO WIN.  If you will only dare to win you can become what God has given you the power to become.  David said, “You are wonderfully made.”  It is so much easier to be average.  It is so much easier to be sick, take a drug, have the surgery, and take the guaranteed salary rather than commission.  These are the paths of least resistance. As BJ Palmer said, “The path of least resistance makes rivers and people crooked.” Dare to be wonderful. Dare to be great. Dare to win!

With God all things are possible,
